If acting, directing, recording voiceovers, working with corporates and composing music isn't enough, Tavish also works in the fields of graphic design, film making and photography! "I try not to confine myself to a single medium. I find the process of labelling oneself as an 'actor' or 'musician' limiting. To me, being an artist is about finding the right medium to represent an idea, or tell a story. It could be music, theatre, film, graphic design or photography. It's very liberating to have so many outlets and it's so much more fun!"

graphic design
I find graphic design of any kind very exciting! Whether its designing posters, creating logos and business cards for a company or designing a book cover; the process of understanding the requirement, coming up with design options that best represent the brief and then seeing a final design take shape is immensely satisfying! Here are a few of my favorite projects over the years.

film making
Film as a medium of story telling has always fascinated me. Over the years I have had the pleasure of working with people brave and kind enough to let me go crazy behind the camera shooting trailers, documentaries and corporate videos. I've had the pleasure of working with extremely talented people both in front of and behind the camera and I hope to work with many more! Here are a few of my favorite projects over the years.
Due to privacy issues, I cannot upload corporate videos to the website but if you need any additional information, you can get in touch here.

A trailer shot for Dramanon Hyderabad to help publicise their upcoming production of Dario Fo's "Fools". The trailer introduces the characters of the play along with a brief outline of the plot to whet the audience's appetite! The film is comprised of over 900 photographs, each one painstakingly edited in photoshop to create the entire film.

When Sushil Eapen asked us to shoot a short film about his love for carpentry, we leapt at the offer! His beautiful home with the carpentry shed in the backyard lent itself beautifully to film and we just HAD to shoot it! We spent a whole day with him as he took us to the yard where he sources his wood, how he understands the grain and eventually shapes it into beautiful works of art!

A film documenting a show I had done in Bhubaneshwar while working with Dramanon Bangalore. Early morning wake up calls, airport shenanigans, stage and light set up, the actual show and even a bit of sight seeing the next day! This film is pretty much a day in the life of a theatre artist!

photography
I have a bit of a love-hate relationship with photography. There are periods where I take my camera with me everywhere I go and then there's long periods where my camera sits in a corner gathering dust. I really enjoy capturing moments when I'm travelling on work or holiday but I enjoy living in that moment equally and not experiencing it through a view finder. Basically, I like taking pictures once in a while. Here are a few of my favorites!
